An initiative of the Automóvel Club de Portugal, which this year goes to the 23rd edition at Kartódromo Internacional de Leiria, aimed at young people from 7 to 13 years old.
In this training week, young students are introduced to the surrounding environment of this discipline of initiation of motor racing, get to know the first principles of kart mechanics, understand the rules and, above all, receive their first driving lessons and participate in a healthy sporting activity, interacting enthusiastically, guided by a dedicated and competent team of experienced trainers.
Training is divided into two levels, between 7 and 9 years old, with a total of 10 students, and from 10 to 13 years old, with availability of up to 32 students.
These are days of great emotions and a lot of learning, guaranteed by insurance included in the registration, accommodation, food and sports equipment: suit and helmet.
"For Automóvel Club de Portugal, safety is the motto outside and inside the track in this unique initiative to introduce young people to motorsport.", says Pedro Abecasis, responsible for training.
After the constraints in the years (2020 canceled and 2021 with the restrictions inherent to the pandemic). The ACP has scheduled the 23rd edition of the Karting Training between the 12th and 16th of July.
